In addition to the field-leading grassroots support Eliza has seen from thousands of New York voters, Eliza is endorsed by United Auto Workers, Downtown Independent Democrats, the Manhattan chapter of the Working Families Party, Roadmap for Progress, Our Damn Time, Future Steps US. She also has earned the support of high-profile public figures, including transgender activist Charlotte Clymer, Pulse Nightclub survivor Brandon Wolf, actress and activist Alyssa Milano, author and civil rights advocate Frederick Joseph, and gun violence prevention advocate Fred Guttenberg. Additionally, the 5 Boro Defenders ranked Eliza as the candidate who would do the least amount of harm as District Attorney (they do not formally endorse candidates).
Eliza recognizes that every individual has a unique story, and many have unique needs. She will protect immigrant communities from unfair treatment; she will refuse to prosecute juveniles as adults; and she will protect our LGBTQIA+ community from harassment and violence, while also working to protect them from abuse and unfair treatment at the hands of the legal system. In cases involving sexual and domestic violence, Eliza is committed to centering the voices and concerns of victims.
